Designed in minimalist Asian style, the health and beauty spa offers treatments such as Ayurvedic facials, marine-salt body scrubs, and Hot Chocolate massages and masks. Treatment rooms overlook the outdoor pool. The spa also offers waxing and hair and nail care. A relaxation lounge includes an area for serving tea and ordering room-service meals.

In addition to indoor pool, the complimentary health club includes a four-person spa tub, unisex sauna and steam room, and a hardwood-floor fitness centre with cardio and weight machines.

Pestana Palace offers 190 guestrooms in two three-storey wings bordering the central garden. Clad in pale-grey marble and topped with mansard roofs, the 2001 wings complement the palace's 19th century design. Guestrooms reflect the palatial setting, albeit in a less ornate style, with white ceilings and walls, dark-wood trim, pale-blue carpeting, dark-blue brocade drapes, gilt-framed paintings, and brocade upholstered armchairs.

Leather-topped desks with brass fittings come with high-speed Internet connections (surcharges apply). Televisions offer international channels and pay movies. Marble bathrooms have shower/tub combinations, phones, bathrobes, slippers, and Carven designer French toiletries.
